Babe-Ra-Ham-Lincoln.

I'm way too excited to share today's WCW. While Julia and I have never officially worked together, I feel our support for each other is STRONG. Ya know when you have that sister that you don't see often, but you can just feel their support? That's her. And I hope she can feel mine right back. Ever since moving here it seems we have been cheering each other on from afar and when we do get to play or practice together it's SO MUCH FUN. She currently is transitioning to a managerial role and teaching at Revival Studio on Marco Island so if you're more south in Naples, GET THERE. AND, oh annnndddd, if she hosts another GLOWGA class soon, keep your eyes peeled. Last year around this time we had SO much fun! She is an advocate, a lover, a force of strength in this community and I'm so thankful for crossing paths with this beauty. She can be found on Facebook, Julia Szilagyi and on Instagram @juliasalami. Hope everyone can take a minute to honor their WCW and mine! Love you, LP.

What line of work are you currently in?

Yoga instructor who doubles as studio manager at Revival Yoga Fitness Studio in Marco Island

What’s your best piece of health advice for women?

Find balance in your health. It is not the end of the world if you finish that box of Norman Love chocolates within 15 minutes of purchase, that’s FINE! Not being hard on ourselves is the first step to truly and deeply loving ourselves. I will eat these chocolates today, and tomorrow I will meditate or go for a walk or a swim. If I am happy with my choices, nothing can penetrate my self-love, and that in turn creates overall wellness.

What’s your favorite type of self-care?

I like to splurge on really healthy foods that taste so good the world around you disappears for awhile (yeah, that kind of romantic love). I value food so much in what it has the power to do for our bodies AND minds, so every now and again I use those foods as a way to remind myself how much I care and cherish this unique body I’ve been given.

What’s the best piece of life advice passed down to you from your mother or a maternal figure?

My mom always used to say, and still does say, “You’re not that important.” And yeah, it seems crazy to tell your hormonal teenager (or twenty-something) that she’s not important. However, what *I think* she’s trying to say is no one really cares if you embarrassed yourself, or said something stupid, or ripped your pants in the middle of teaching :/ While we think others thoughts are constantly on us, it’s easy to forget that everyone else is caught up in their own thoughts/drama. I’ve held this quote with me my whole life and I think now, finally, it’s starting to make perfect sense. Just do you, always, and those who matter and connect with you authentically will love you no matter what.

What’s your current favorite blog, instagram page, podcast, or website?

I, of course, have been loving Rachel Brathen (Yoga Girl’s) podcast “From the Heart”, but I also really enjoy following Ashley Albrand (IG handle @ogyogini) and any accounts that have to do with camping, life on the road, etc. Also, I know you didn’t ask, but my absolute favorite book of the last year and something EVERYONE should read is Jen Sincero’s, “You are a badass”. Anyone who uses profanity as much as I do while also being crazy inspiring is someone I can jump on board with.
