Every so often I'll share what I'm currently super into at this exact moment in time. Today is one of those days!! The reason I'm sharing today is because I sometimes generalize my lack of time to be social or have a life outside of work. This morning I woke up did some yoga in my pajamas and decided, "that is false!" Here are a collection of random things I'm reading, listening to, eating, doing, etc to show myself I am well rounded, dammit! Happy Tuesday! Love you, LP.
1) I'm currently reading, "Real Love," by Sharon Salzberg. This book explores self-worth, meditation and mindfulness practices that embody LOVE. It was brought to my attention by The Class by Taryn Toomey. :)
2) Burn Bootcamp! I've been maintaining 3-4 camps a week and I feel so good. Getting strong, leaner, and meeting new people!
3) Cooking Fall THANGS. This is a two - part because I am reaching out to my mom more for recipes. She is a wonderful cook and always experimenting since she is Vegan. Connecting with her has been wonderful and I can tell she loves sharing her recipes. One that I continue to make weekly are sautéed fall veggies with a little bit of Italian seasonings. Combine chopped eggplant, squash, tomato, celery, onion and potato, let simmer for a good chunk of time. You can serve over quinoa or eat plain. MMM. Fall in YO mouth.
4) I do my reading throughout the day, by way of Audible, so when I get home from work at night I like to see whats up on Netflix. Without straying too far from 'New Girl', I've been also including some documentaries. Recently I enjoyed, "On Meditation," and the episode of "Chef's Table," that featured Jeong Kwan, a Buddhist Monk living in Korea. (Thanks, Troy!)
5) Listening to anything by the artist, Sleeping At Last. So good.
6: Lastly, diving in to research around Intermittent Fasting and the Ketogenic lifestyle. The last two months I've been IF'ing and my body feels lean and energized. I transitions from Keto to IF and I think that's what made it so easy, but slowly have been incorporating more carbs into my eating window and seeing if I can still feel that clarity and increased energy from being fat adapted. Everyone's body is different and this approach has really helped me with intuitive eating and also what foods are serving me and which aren't.
