Woman Crush Wednesday!

We're back with the 3rd cycle of #WCW! Today I'm honoring Rachel McCrary, who I met when I started working at Hot Yoga Naples. She is quite literally the most fun person I have ever met and each time we're together I'm always laughing, almost to tears! Despite how she can make an entire Bikram class smile and laugh, I also know I can go to her with anything as her heart is the size of this WORLD. And she was gracious enough to answer my 5 questions! Luh you, girllll.

1) What line of work are you currently in? (Job title, description and how can we find you...website or social media?)

I am a yoga teacher at Hot Yoga Naples. I kill (maybe disintegrate is a better word) egos, with kindness, on a daily basis. You can find me on Facebook & Twitter Rachel McCrary (Jedi Yogini) Ooooo, I am on IG too @i_dont_know_why_just

2) What's your best piece of health advice for women?

The best 'piece' of health advice I could give woman is "eat the damn cake!" No, really. EAT IT! Take care of yourself, but not to the point where you are restricting some of simple pleasures in life. Everything in moderation. Take care of your body, but not obsessively. Practice some form of yoga, no excuses-->and I have heard them all, believe me. Drink more water! Meditate. Masturbate. *Not in any specific order, but chocolate cake tends to taste better after that last one.

3) What's your favorite type of self-care?

My favorite self-care is the days I allow myself to do nothing. Seriously, we live in this action based world where doing nothing comes with a big side dish of guilt. Not 'having' to do anything is such a huge stress reliever. I like to plan a day to not leave the house, do only things that bring me joy or feed my soul. Like listening to old records (yes, vinyl) or reading a book with a hot cup of tea in my pajamas (because I never got dressed) and literally only doing things I enJOY.

4) What's the best piece of life advice passed down to you from your mother or a maternal figure?

The best advice I ever got was if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all. Needless to say I've been biting my tongue for years.

5) What's your current favorite blog, Instagram page, podcast OR website? (Present company excluded, share one or all!) My current favorite website is https://www.nerdfitness.com/ It's magical!
